Create a book and website based on responses to edge.org’s question “What do you believe is true, though you can’t prove it?"

After reading through a year’s worth of responses and essays from some of today’s best thinkers, I was tasked with designing a book that visually and conceptually represented the overarching theme to the question and responses. Under the direction of Carolina de Bartolo, I designed a 100+ page book that used historical religious texts and the straight edge of science as visual inspiration. The text is set along a vertical line—representing science’s fact or fiction reasoning—with large headers incorporating historical ligatures. The book is divided into five chapters and includes infographics that either coincide with the text, or introduces old ideas that were once thought to be facts and later proved false.
